Happy Mother's Day!

Well it has been a wonderful Mother's Day week-end! Friday Emma's kindergarten class had a Mother's Day tea.  The kids memorized some poems and sang for us and then handed out homemade broaches and booklets about what they liked to do with us.  My favorite though was a picture of a flower Emma made with her handprint.  The quote brought tears to my eyes!

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I'm so small,
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and wall.
But every day I'm growing up
And soon will be so tall,
That all those little handprints
Will be hard to recall.
So here's a final handprint,
Just so you can see
Exactly how my fingers looked
This year on Mother's Day!

Sunday I woke up late to heart shaped pancakes and flowers.  (for my gift I get to buy a Cricut, something I've been wanting for a long time!) Got to speak at church...:{ hmmm...guess at least I won't have to speak for a couple of years, right? Heard Emma sing with the Primary (Claire fell asleep on Dave).  Came home and had a lovely nap, finishing the day by chatting on Skype with my sister Jamie in Chicago and darling neice and eating a yummy bbq dinner at my parent's house.  For dessert I bought these sorbets from Costco, oh my yum.  They are in orange, lemon, coconut and pineapple halves.  My favorite's the pineapple! If you've ever been to Disneyland and eaten a pineapple Dole Whip outside the Tiki Room, it tastes EXACTLY like that! Fabulouso! Heaven in a cup I tell you! When we go in June I'm eating one every day I'm there.  If you are wondering why I keep going on about the Dole whips, well, you haven't had one! :) It was a really wonderful Mother's Day!

The greatest joys in my life! Are they scrumptious or what? :)
