Since the cat's out of the bag...

I guess I'll just continue to open my large-o mouth and announce here too that I'm pregnant! I'm sure everyone that looks at my blog is also a facebook buddy, but I thought I'd announce here as well.  I'm about 7 1/2 weeks (not too far along) and I don't usually open my mouth this early in the game, but I have been so miserable and anti-social I thought I should explain myself.  I don't remember having morning sickness this bad with the other three, maybe that's just because it's been almost 3 years since the last baby! My patience is thin too, poor kiddos.  Cinnamon used to help me when I felt sick to my stomach, but it's not cutting it so far.  So to all you mamas, what were some things that helped cut the sick feeling? Don't say ginger because just seeing that word makes me sick (I just gagged).  I'd appreciate any suggestions!!!

YAY! (I'm acting surprised like I didn't already know). Mint helped me so I drank a lot of mint herbal tea and sucked on mints. CONGRATULATIONS! Bring on the babies!

I was beginning to wonder if your anti social stuff was because of me!! J/K

Mint did help me until baby #4. Then it didn't work. Finally I started taking a vitamin B6 tablet with half a unisom in the morning and then the other half of unisom at night. It helped alot. I did take ginger in a caplet form for a little while too. I had the nausea all day with Wyatt so I know how you are feeling. Maybe this is so different because it is a little boy!! Oh we can hope right!!? So happy for you guys!!!

Yeah, my sister got an anti-nausea med., and she said it really helped, but, she could hardly stay awake. Guess it wouldn't really work for you since you still have kids at home. I swear it gets worse the older you are. This last pregnancy was H-A-R-D, all around. Congratulations, and good luck. I really liked plain popcorn to help with morning sickness. Saltine crackers made me gag!

CONGRATS!!! That is such awesome news!!! ;) I'm sorry you have been feeling soo nauseous!! I just kept saltines right by my bed and before I even got out of bed in the morning i would eat one, and try to snack on little things you can tolerate all throughout the day! Sprite, popsicles, mint tea, toast, crackers!

YEAH!!!!!! MORE PRECIOUS COLEMAN BABY GIRLS TO POPULATE THE EARTH!!!! :o) Maybe this one will be a precious Coleman baby boy? Maybe that is why you are so much sicker. I am so sorry about the sickness, but congratulations on the wonderful news. The only thing I can suggest to you, my doctor told me before you roll out of bed in the morning, eat some saltine crackers. Let them sit in your tummy for a bit before you stand up. Then carry them with you and snack on them as soon as you start feeling gaggy. Of course, that is just for minor nasuea so if yours is really serious, a simple stupid cracker may not cut it! Good luck my dear! I am so excited for you and your family! PLEASE let me know if I can ever come get your girls so you can sit with your head in the toilet alone. :o) I would love to help out in any way I can!

Thanks for all the suggestions! And yes Aimee, I've really been avoiding you... ;) You know I love ya! No seriously, I just want to veg which I know is the worst thing for me to do! Especially with 3 other little girls wreaking havoc on my perfectly picked up home... ;)
Hmmm, maybe I need some Unisom! Tea sounds really good too! Great suggestions ladies, i really appreciate it!!!

congrats!! and maybe you do have the opposite. I have heard of people that are really sick with their boys and not the girls or really sick with the girls and not the boys. I was pretty sick my girls and i did half a unisom with b6 twice a day and it took the edge off. mostly it was keeping your blood sugar up. you are like the 3rd person i have found out is pregnant and due in september this week. :) hope all goes well

Congrats! I'm so excited for you!!! :)
With the boys I only felt nauseaus, but never barfed. With Emma I puked so much I even puked on my steering column! Since you already have girls, maybe it's a boy? I know Dave's secretly crossing his fingers! ;)
Let's see....popsicles, peppermint Trident gum C.O.N.S.T.A.N.T.L.Y! It really helps "cleanse" the pallet after puking.
I'm so excited for you. Take care and just breath from your nose lots. It really helps the gag reflex.

I found that smelling fresh cut oranges and lemons calmed me, However, with a super queasy tummy-you never know how you'll react to smells so proceede with caution! I also liked to suck just about anything sour--like a jolly rancher--and sometimes just that little bit of sugar helped get me pretty far when nothing else would stay down---good luck girl I hope it passes quickly!

Uh oh....first, make sure you are not having twins (or maybe it is just a boys this time!). Second, invest in one of those bands that go around your wrist to help with the nausea....that seemed to help me, but not by much. Third, don't eat your pre-natal vitamens, just eat Flinstones instead. THAT actually helped me a ton! Congratulations girl!!!!!! So excited for you!

Congratulations! Sorry you're sick. My suggestion to keep your gagging down is to not brush your teeth. But if that's too gross, forgo the toothpaste. Then you can brush super fast and be done.
