Well Em's first day at school went off without a hitch. She voiced no concerns or worries but I could tell she was relieved when she saw a couple little girls from her preschool last year. There are actually 4 other little girls in her kindergarten class that she was with last year; Madeline, Ella, Peyton and Hailey. They are the cutest little kids! Her teacher, Mrs. Kukas seems really nice. Like in one of my previous posts. you always worry that the teacher will appreciate your child and are kind to them. Emma really likes her, so I guess she's alright. I've got my eyes on ya though, Mrs. Kukas! :) I actually made it all the way home with no tears that first day. But when I sat down and thought of her sitting at her little desk at school I did shed a few tears. When I picked her up after school and was asked how her day was, she said, "I did great! And you know why? Because daddy gave me a blessing!" I'm so grateful she acknowledges the priesthood and realizes how important it is in our family.
Here are a few little pictures of my Emma Lou Who through the years...

what a milestone for you! oh, and for Emma too! :)
Something must be wrong with me cuz I didn't shed even a misty eye that my Tommy took his first school bus ride. Must be cuz he was just so darned excited and cute! I didn't have time to be sad for myself. (plus there's that Will's already gone through this stage, and is now in 2nd grade!)
This mom's heart is used to the little tugs as kids go to school. I still have one more!!!
so cute. your girlies are so darling!!! glad she is liking school. xo.
Oh cute! Isn't that just one of those moments, like re-living your birth stories with a new mom, you never forget the way you felt when your first went to school!
Such sweet pictures of Emma! Look at her with that backpack!! I'm glad she's liking school! You're just kind of mom that teachers love... involved, interested - we always love a "team player" kind of parent!
Man I agree Hallie looks soo much like Emma when she was little- sooo cute:) What a Big girl:) Glad to hear she really liked it!
When did you take the kids to Disneyland. And is there an age that is too young?
Can't we start a private school?? You can teach the kids criminal justice & political Science, me-biology & earth science, kelly-english, heather wilson-math, Becca-Chinese/world cultures, melanie-P.E./reading, heather miller arts&crafts..shoot am I missing any subjects..Emily Nixon-cooking class. Jess Odd-Hair,make-up, and health. We don't need public school seriously.
Hey there~ I couldn't find your email so I am reaching you here... tell the paint guy at Home Depot that you need Ralph Lauren Faux Technique Glaze in the tint Smoke. He will have to mix it. RL only offers like 4 tints in this stuff and they should know exactly what you are talking about... I just posted a picture of the can on my newest post. Thanks!
