April 2011

So here I find myself on September first finally completing the month of April...wow.  Go Carrie! I'm gonna go with a month in pictures.

My second oldest lost her first tooth! She was so excited that she wrote a note to the tooth fairy and made her a small bed in hopes she'd take a snooze and Claire could surprise her.  Oh, and she gave her a tiny Rapunzel dress also as a small token of thanks for the buck.  I love her creativity...
A cute picture of Miss Adie as my mom and I tag teamed shopping in Sumner
 Some baby squishiness...

Emma's drawing of me and her.  Bless that girl, I love the figure she draws on me! Flat tummy, perky cheechees, toned arms and legs...ahh yeah...
Claire learning how to ride her bike! Bless her, she still hasn't quite gotten it, but the weather turned extra rainy/crappy after this shot and then we've had one busy summer.  Soon though! ;)

 Easter fun with friends
"Sisters...sisters...there were never such devoted sisters..." Name that song!

 Cupcakes for school classes
Annual egg hunter at G&G Coleman's

 Claire and cousin Liz.
Every year my MIL hides a stuffed animal for each grand kid, the girls love it!

E and H with their cousin Sierra
 Oh that little bunny!
 Hunting with Aunt Ame!
Miss Adie and Grandma Coleman, she was singing the sweetest song to her

 Baby yumminess
April brings dad's birthday too.  The kids love their Papo!!! I couldn't ask for a better one for them either! We love you dadda!

The Rest of March!

I'm on a roll! Whoohoo! 2 posts in 2 days!
With March comes St. Patrick's day of course.  For the girl's classes I made rainbow cupcakes - let me tell you that was one pain in the tush! Leveling out all the rainbow colors took forever, Dave heard me cussing muttering under my breath and decided to help out so that made things go a little faster.  The kids and their classmates loved them, so I guess the work paid off.  Laura's birthday also happens to be on the 17th the lucky duck, so she came down and I made her a rainbow cake with a skittle rainbow on top (I swear I took pictures, but I don't see them now! Sorry Loll!)
I love this picture, obviously Adie has no idea what to do with a bottle! The girl's got some anger issues...
 The one picture from Laura's birthday...um I think...love ya Loll! ;)
The girls decided to make us dinner one night.  It consisted of toast and jam and scrambled eggs.  There weren't TOO many shells in it...I was kind of impressed, until I had to clean up their mess.  You can see the lovely kitchen behind them...If you'd like an evening off from cooking, I'm sure they'd love to visit your house and help ya out!
Wow, that's one RED picture!
Emma even made place cards that we use to this day.  I love that she puts mine and Adison's on top of each other since the blessed baby won't stay in her high chair and I end up holding her through dinner.
 My sideways cupcakes.  Delish!
Love Emma's "hurry and take the blasted picture mom!" smiles.
Oh yeah...that was about a 5 minute cupcake right there.
Claire's student teacher went all out! I have to say though the hair scared me a little.  I'll add it to my "list".
I had to put in a pic of me with Adison and my friend Heather's sweet little love Audra.  They're both so huge now!

Adie in her sweet sweet Jump a Roo! Love whoever invented this toy! This is hours minutes of fun right here folks! I get about 10 extra minutes to myself when she's in this thing!
My honey with his girlies.  I love that man!

Hallie turns 4! Um... 4 months ago that is...

Hallie with her bestie, Lauryn.
Emma overseeing the game, she's such a big helper!

 The whole gang!

 Sitting in the party tent!
Party favors in a frying pan, looks dumb unless you've seen the movie!
Let's face it, I remember to take the pictures but then they just stay on the camera and every couple of months get dumped onto the computer.  Guess that's what having 4 kids does to you! Well 4 months ago, my Tiny turned 4! I have to say I was a tad disappointed she has moved past the Spiderman phase, but I had fun with a Tangled party.  This was her first "friend" party so of course I went all out! I made her a braided wig that I attached to a headband (she only wore it for 10 minutes darn it), cheese and fruit wands, hair clips for all the girls, tissue flowers, and my mom even made the cutest bunting and table runners!  It was pretty cute.  We invited some friends from our old ward and new ward and a best friend from her ballet class.  The kids had a blast playing a dance game on the wii, "place the frying pan on Flynn Ryder" and just running around the house!

Yuck or Yummy?

This week was this little squirt's first encounter with veggies! So far loves: sweet potatoes, eh on the green beans and a NO so far on squash! I love all their firsts.  It's fun to see her reactions to something new!
"Oh mom! What the what?! What is in my mouth!!!"
Thinking about it...
 " I'm thinking I like this..."
Maybe not so much...

"Nope, I think I do!"
"Hooray! I do! I do like sweet potatoes!" Either that or she's smiling because I'm smiling at her...I have that effect on people. right... :)

Eh

Wow, I'm having major spring fever or something.  That or the baby blues are back! This weather with its dark clouds can do a number on me.  Zippo energy and just an all around feeling of bleh...I was searching in my pictures for something when I came across this picture.  It was Adison's first bath with the big kids.  Leave it to Hallie to make an interesting face in an otherwise darling picture. :) She's kind of known in our family for doing that. :) But, it made me laugh which made me feel better, so Hallie - thanks for making yet another one of your silly faces!

Adie Cakes

How is it little Miss Adie, or as Claire likes to call her Baby Bum Bums is almost 5 months old? I swear that pregnancy lasted 2 years, but now the time is seriously flying by.  A few Adie LOVES: kisses on her tummy, her cheeks being stroked at bed/nap time, rice cereal, her "b", Emma getting her up in the morning, Claire anytime (she really is into Claire right now), nuzzles under her soft chubby cheeks, her Jumparoo, her swing with the froggy attachment to suck on, mommy carrying her around EVERYWHERE, the car-ride (FINALLY!) home from picking up the girls -  her eyes light up and her legs kick like crazy when the girls load up, sitting on my lap at night binky in and watching tv with me (oops...).  She is a complete love.  Sometimes (ok quite often) housework does not get done because I cannot resist snuggling her and rubbing my nose on her soft baby face.  And I'm completely fine with that!

Kid's Pictures 2010

My friend Crystal took some new pictures of the girls in January.  I think they turned out pretty great! Thanks Crys!
